Cook'd and Bomb'd Radio is a collaborative effort by the Cook'd and Bomb'd community, and basically just a way of letting Neil 1) force his music taste on others. Shoutcasts run every Sunday night from 6pm onwards, and people are invited to contact that week's host by using the Skype™ software, or visiting the chat room. There is also a CaB voice-mail, which can be called day or night at local rate: 02895 81 1976.
Hosting changes every week, and all members of the CaB community are welcome to have a go.
CaB Radio is a music-led station, but all contributions are welcome. Each Sunday, submitted mixes are played, and then put up for download on the main site.
CaB Radio is created by and for the CaB community, and needs input on a regular basis. There are a number of ways to get involved; one of the most popular being to create a mix. These are usually music-based, although some people choose to include comedy (there has been at least one mix consisting solely of comedy). Some chat from the author in the mix is encouraged, but this is not compulsory. Forty-five minutes is a decent length, but mixes may go up to (or slightly over) an hour.
Although CaB Radio is music-led, it uses Skype software so that people can call in to each live shoutcast. Please feel free to call the host at any time (ask in the chat room to find the host's Skype name), though avoiding a mix is usually appreciated.
Neil has also purchased a CaB Skype voice-mail, which means you can contact him from a normal phone. You can ring this number when Neil shoutcasts to get straight through to air, or you can ring it at any time of the day or night to leave some kind of message, which will be played in a future shoutcast. The number is 02895 81 1976 and is Belfast local rate - if you do have Skype installed, then you can also send a voicemail from that simply by right-clicking Neil's name (neilbombd), and choosing “Send voicemail.”
